Rural Family Home Exeter

Situated on some 22 acres of lush grazing and horse land in the Southern Highlands, this family home was designed to capture the expansive escarpment views of the Morton National Park and provide a contemporary interpretation of the traditional homestead.
The brief for this project was to provide a family home which allowed for a children's wing at one end of the house to be balanced by the parents retreat at the opposite and divided centrally by the main living and entertaining volumes.
Consideration was also given for the development of horse facilities which were sympathetic in both form and finish to the main residence.
The clients brief was massaged to create a modern contemporary rural home. Positioned on an east west axis this home presents itself north, with extensive entertainment verandas taking in the rolling views , where internal spaces can capture the winter sun and be protected from the summer , where natural light abounds and breezes are captured.
